Established in 2012, the Statewide Native Youth Council (SNYC) promotes skill-building for service leadership. Native youth councils are building momentum, positive presence, and change with Native communities throughout Minnesota. Each year, outstanding Native youth and their mentors:
- Gather up to four (4) times a year for multi-day workshops;
- Learn about policy and governance within communities and Tribes;
- Build skills to educate, organize, and advocate for causes; and
- Engage decision makers at tribal, state, and national forums.
